Why not do it together?
I am Natalie Turner. A recent graduate from the University of Kansas with a BSJ from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. I have a zest for life with an even greater passion for the world.
I am a big believer in taking time to think. It’s essential to reflect to move forward. I love to travel, learn, and work hard. I’ve created this space in order to translate into words my travel, my life experiences, my thoughts, and so much more.
Being able to express yourself with words is a powerful tool that I want to take advantage of and I can’t express my gratitude towards you being here!
During the Spring of 2021, I interned on Capitol Hill serving as a Legislative Intern in Congresswoman Ann Wagner's Office.
In May of 2020, I began the journey of writing a book. My book is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2021 and will look at the future of the aviation industry moving forward from COVID-19.
In the summer of 2020, I worked for Forbes Tate Partners serving as the Public Affairs Intern where I managed clients with the team, drafted social, wrote memos, monitored relevant policy, and more.
Starting in January of 2019, I interned on Capitol Hill serving as a Legislative Intern in Senator Roy Blunt’s Office.
During the summer of 2019, I interned with Delta Air Lines Government Affairs Office serving as the Government Affairs intern.
I represented the Journalism School as a Student Senator at my university. Within this role, I attend meetings to advocate for Journalism students and faculty to vote for legislation to better KU. Through Student Senate, I also served as the Chairwoman for the University Affairs Committee.
I previously volunteered at Days for Girls International, a non-profit organization that works to ensure girls worldwide have access to basic-needs feminine hygiene products.
I worked as a Strategist at The Agency, a full-service on campus advertising agency at the University of Kansas, where I strategized campaigns for our clients to assist in promoting their brand and achieve various goals they may have.
My long-term goals range wide. However, through my academic career and professional experience, my interests reside primarily in media relations, strategic campaigns, message development, and government relations.
